On June 27, 2026, I will formally launch the Raven Society for the Renewal of Elmira with the Elmira Declaration of Resilience, the philosophical, organizational, and practical foundation of my campaign for Mayor of Elmira. That event marks the beginning of a community-wide conversation about the future of our city, our challenges, our opportunities, and the mindset necessary to overcome them.
What it does not mark is the immediate release of a complete policy platform.
The detailed policy and position phase of this campaign will begin on March 4, 2027, when the political campaign formally transitions from laying foundations to presenting specific legislative, administrative, budgetary, and operational proposals. At that time, voters will begin to see comprehensive position papers, implementation plans, and measurable objectives for the first four years of a Raven administration.
This deliberate approach is intentional.
Over the past 20 years, I have devoted hundreds of hours to studying Elmira, the demographics, Elmira's governmental structure, finances, economic challenges, public safety concerns, infrastructure needs, workforce issues, charter history, and future opportunities. Significant portions of my economic recovery strategy, public safety initiatives, governmental reforms, and long-term development plans have already been developed.
However, releasing every detail prematurely would not only arm political opponents with cutting edge original ideas and years of insights before the campaign has properly begun, but would also risk locking policies into place before they have been tested against the lived experiences of the people they are intended to serve.
The first phase of this campaign is therefore dedicated to listening and organizing.
Over the coming months, I will enlist volunteers, hold organizational, strategic and educational meetings and town hall-style meetings, community discussions, neighborhood gatherings, and one-on-one conversations throughout Elmira. I want to hear directly from residents, business owners, taxpayers, employees, retirees, young families, students, landlords, workers, and community organizations. I want to understand not only the statistics and reports, but the realities people experience every day.
That information will help refine and strengthen policies that are already under development, ensuring they are not merely theoretically sound, but practical, effective, and responsive to the actual needs of our city.
While specific policy details will be released in 2027, current areas of focus include:
These areas will continue to evolve as residents help shape the conversation.
The purpose of this campaign is not simply to win an election. The purpose is to build a movement capable of renewing Elmira for generations to come.
This is why the campaign begins with resilience.
Stay tuned for updates, attend upcoming events, participate in community discussions, and sign up below to receive announcements as new policies, positions, and opportunities for involvement are released.
The future of Elmira will not be written by one person alone. It will be written by citizens willing to become part of the solution.
